In keeping with the purpose of Concordia Christian Day School, the entire curriculum is based on the Word of God. Subjects are selected with the view of enabling every child to develop into a "whole child." The Christian faith and life is not a segregated subject in the day's work, rather its influence permeates and gives substance to all other subject areas taught.
In keeping with a Christian philosophy of education and in regard to the requirements of the State of North Carolina, all students in all grades receive a thorough education in all curricular areas that meet and exceed the Common Core Standards. It includes: Art, Computers, Current events, Handwriting, Language, Mathematics, Memory Work, Music, Physical Education, Reading (including readiness), Religion, Science, Health, Social Studies, Spanish and Spelling.
Not all of these subjects are taught daily, but the school’s curriculum follows the North Carolina State Department of Education guidelines. The faculty holds regularly scheduled curriculum meetings to continually study the curriculum. A different major curriculum area is studied and reviewed annually on a 7-year cycle.
